Back in the saddle I was headed towards my next goal: Salzburg. I decided to follow the Danube river route, even though I heard that it might be a bit touristic and might get a bit boring overtime. Fortunately for me I didn‘t feel like there were that many other cyclists I had to share the path with. I must have had a lucky day. Maybe it helped that the weather is generally getting worse ans it also rained the whole night before. Also the predictions are not looking to good. Fortunately I stayed dry for the day and could set up my tent before it began raining again in the evening.
The Danube is truly a mighty river, I was impressed at how wide it is. Going through the flat lands I eventually also rode through more hilly parts, with many castles and forts along the way.
